Tony Kornheiser Suspended From PTI

Our good friend Tony Kornheiser has been suspended from one of our favorite TV shows, Pardon The Interruption (PTI) for two weeks, following comments he made on his radio show about ESPN co-worker Hannah Storm's clothing. According to reports, Tony said the following:

"Hannah Storm in a horrifying, horrifying outfit today. She’s got on red go-go boots and a catholic school plaid skirt … way too short for somebody in her 40s or maybe early 50s by now. She’s got on her typically very, very tight shirt. She looks like she has sausage casing wrapping around her upper body … I know she’s very good, and I’m not supposed to be critical of ESPN people, so I won’t … but Hannah Storm … come on now! Stop! What are you doing?"

The next day, Tony started his radio show by apologizing and even poked fun at himself. He said:

"I apologize, unequivocally ... I'm a sarcastic, subversive guy ... I'm a troll, look at me. I have no right to insult what anybody looks like or what anybody wears. That, I think, should go without saying."

ESPN, we get it. He was a little out of line with his comments. But taking him off PTI for two weeks? Give me a break! First off, he's a talk/radio show host. This is what you pay him to do... TALK. He calls EVERYONE out, athletes, schools, owners, politicians, fans, even his own network. Second, he made the comments on his radio show. Pull him off that, not one of the best, most entertaining shows on television. ESPN, Freshtoid still loves you, but come on.
