World Cup 2018 or 2022 in Oakland

The World Cup comes around every four years and is way more bad ass than the Olympics, primarily because of how absolutely insane soccer fans can be. The 2010 World Cup will be in South Africa and 2014 will be in Brazil, but 2018? What about 2022? Those are yet to be decided. With your help though we can bring one of those World Cups to the US of A, specifically Oakland. Why Oakland you ask? Well, with all those rabid soccer fans running around, which city's citizens would you rather have keeping the fans in check? Oakland also features the Coliseum, as bad ass as any venue for watching a soccer game and is right in the middle of the bay area with San Francisco, San Jose and other East Bay cities in the near vicinity. Sign the petition here and get ready for a wild summer in 2018 (or 2022) [hopefully].

Oak Town! All those gangbangers will keep the soccer fans in check. Raider Nation coming out in full force to support the U.S. Team? I can't think of a better city.

Oakland gets such a bad rap and I'm not talking Hyphy either. The World Cup is the perfect venue to boost the Yay Area's cash-flow problems and really stimulate the economy. By 2018, with the completion of new Bay Bridge, 49'ers stadium in Santa Clara(hopefully), the A's stadium in San Jose(probably not) and the extended BART tracks, there would be no better time to host the famous games.
